The inaugural segment of the eight-week-long 'Grand Musical Night' commenced yesterday evening under the banner 'Sufi Music Edition'. Held from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the event combined live musical performances with specialized heritage dining.
Upon entering, guests were greeted by soulful Sufi tunes capturing themes of devotion, romance, and spiritual awakening. As live performances unfolded on stage, traditional dishes crafted according to historical Mughal recipes were served at the tables, enhanced by thematic lighting and decor.
A key highlight of the 'Grand Musical Night' is the authentic Mughal cuisine. The taste, preparation, and presentation reflect the opulence of Mughal food culture, with staff dressed in period attire to heighten the historical ambiance. Organizers noted that Mughal gastronomy shares a deep historical connection with Bengali food culture; presenting this heritage to the younger generation in a contemporary setting remains a primary objective of the initiative.
The eight-week festival will run every Friday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM through December 18, with organizers promising a distinct musical genre each week to deliver a memorable cultural and culinary experience.
