The call was formally issued in a press release signed by BLDA Secretary A K M Nowsherul Alam on October 31, 2026.
In its official statement, BLDA explicitly identified four unauthorized housing developments operating without legal approval:
Well Care Housing
London Housing
Elest Town
Ananda Housing
Risks to Public Investments and Urban Planning
BLDA highlighted that several housing entities in the Purbachal periphery are engaging in illegal land acquisition, sales, and unplanned land development without mandatory regulatory clearances from designated urban authorities. These unsanctioned operations expose everyday buyers to severe financial losses and legal entanglements while derailing government-mandated urban planning, environmental preservation, and structural infrastructure development. Furthermore, such fraudulent operations destabilize market trust, damaging the reputation of registered and law-abiding property developers.
The association emphasized that fostering a legally compliant real estate sector while suppressing illegal activities is imperative for national economic progress and public welfare. BLDA reiterated its full commitment to assisting government ministries, RAJUK, and administrative authorities in building a planned, safe, and legally governed housing ecosystem.
