The details were formally unveiled during a press conference organized by BARVIDA on Saturday (October 31).
Organizers highlighted that the principal objective of the exposition is to catalyze the national automotive sector and enhance consumer knowledge regarding the reconditioned vehicle market. By aggregating top imported Japanese models under one roof, the expo enables potential buyers to evaluate technical specifications, features, safety standards, and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions according to their budgets.
Prominent reconditioned models to be featured at the expo include the Toyota Prius, Corolla Cross, Harrier, Noah, Voxy, and Alphard, alongside a diverse array of hybrid and fuel-efficient vehicles.
A central highlight of the BARVIDA Car Expo 2026 is a specialized retrospective exhibition commemorating 50 years of Japanese automobiles in Bangladesh. This segment will chronicle the technological evolution, historical milestones, and socio-economic contributions of Japanese vehicles to the country’s transport network since their introduction. The display will showcase rare photographs, landmark vintage models, and the gradual transition from traditional engines to advanced hybrid systems.
BARVIDA leadership noted that the reconditioned automotive industry extends beyond retail trade, playing a key role in generating employment, fostering entrepreneurship, driving capital investment, expanding international trade relations, and contributing substantially to national tax revenue.
The association extended a general invitation to automobile enthusiasts, prospective buyers, corporate professionals, families, and media personnel to visit the three-day exhibition, emphasizing that the event serves as a transparent and interactive bridge between dealers and consumers.
