The events are the fourth Made in Pakistan exhibition, the 10th International Leather and Footwear Exhibition and the weekly Super Sale Car Bazar.
The Made in Pakistan exhibition is being held at ICCB’s Gulnaksha Hall, with Saturday marking its final day. More than 100 Pakistani companies are participating in the five day event, displaying products ranging from readymade garments, cosmetics and sports goods to jewellery, food and beverages, leather products and perfumes.
Organisers said the exhibition aims to facilitate direct business connections between companies from Bangladesh and Pakistan and create opportunities for new commercial partnerships.
They expect interactions between Pakistani exhibitors and Bangladeshi businesses to contribute to new opportunities in trade and investment. The exhibition has been organised with support from Pakistan’s Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.
Meanwhile, the three day 10th International Leather and Footwear Exhibition is being held at ICCB’s Navaratri Hall, with Saturday also marking its final day.
More than 250 companies from Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Vietnam and Taiwan are participating in the exhibition.
The event features leather and leather goods, footwear, sportswear, modern machinery for footwear manufacturing, production equipment, chemicals and spare parts.
The exhibition has been jointly organised by the Bangladesh Tanners Association, Leather Engineers and Technologists Society and Limra Exhibition.
Local company Deer Leather is showcasing leather bags, belts, shoes, wallets and other products at the event.
Its CEO Farida Yasmin Bithi said the company received a good response from visitors during the holiday and expected stronger interest on the final day.
The weekly Super Sale Car Bazar is also being held at ICCB every Friday. Organised jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, the event entered its fourth week this week.
The car market features new, reconditioned and used vehicles, allowing buyers to compare different models and negotiate directly with sellers at one location.
More than 300 vehicles are being displayed this week across an area of around 100,000 square feet. The number was about 127 during the first week, meaning the number of vehicles on display has more than tripled within four weeks.
Organisers said the arrangement allows visitors to compare vehicles from different sellers in one place rather than visiting multiple showrooms.
One of the attractions is a recreational RV vehicle equipped for temporary accommodation, sleeping and cooking during travel. Visitors have also shown interest in such vehicles for family trips.
Hyundai is providing vehicle inspection services at the event as well.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager of ICCB, said the car market had received a strong response from buyers and visitors from the morning.
Several vehicles had already been sold, while negotiations for additional sales were underway, he said.
With the three events running simultaneously, ICCB has become a venue for product exhibitions, business networking and direct buying and selling, attracting increased visitor activity during the holiday period.
