The DNCC administrator arrived at the Bashundhara Puja Mandap around 7:00 PM on Tuesday (October 20, 2026). He exchanged warm greetings with Hindu devotees and visitors present at the venue, extending his best wishes for Durga Puja.
During the visit, Shafiqul Islam Khan inspected the mandap's arrangements and reviewed security protocols and logistical preparations to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration.
Combined with the municipal grant of BDT 40,000 and his personal donation of BDT 1 lakh, a total financial assistance of BDT 1.4 lakh was handed over to the venue during his inspection.
Leaders of the Puja Celebration Committee expressed their gratitude and satisfaction over the DNCC administrator's visit and financial support, extending sincere thanks to the Dhaka North City Corporation administration and Administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan.
