More than 300 people received 25 kilograms of rice each at a programme held Wednesday afternoon at Chak Haricharan Government Primary School in the upazila.
Shayla Kabir, wife of Manikganj-1 lawmaker S.A. Jinnah Kabir, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Among others, District Jubo Dal Convener Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, Joint Convener Asif Iqbal Rony, District Swechchhasebak Dal Joint Convener Kazi Nadim Hossain Tewel, Daulatpur Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Abdus Salam and former Upazila Jubo Dal Vice-President Lokman Hossain were present.
Representatives from different professions and local communities also attended the event.
The recipients expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the ABG Foundation.
Speaking at the programme, Shayla Kabir said, “We have always stood by vulnerable people and will continue to do so. The humanitarian assistance provided by the ABG Foundation is not limited to Manikganj; such support is being extended across the country.”
The initiative is part of the foundation’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.
