Organised jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, the weekly Friday marketplace offers buyers and sellers an opportunity to trade brand-new, reconditioned and used vehicles at a single venue. Strong turnout over the past five weeks has continued into the sixth edition, prompting organisers to extend the event’s operating hours.
Despite a day of heavy rain on Friday, Expo Village remained busy, with visitors inspecting vehicles, negotiating prices and enquiring about bank financing options. Sellers brought cars from different parts of the country, while buyers and other visitors turned out in significant numbers despite the adverse weather.
The marketplace also facilitates motorcycle sales alongside cars. Buyers can explore vehicles that suit their preferences, while owners can sell their used cars or motorcycles directly without relying on brokers.
Organisers say the initiative saves buyers the time and effort of visiting multiple showrooms. By bringing new, used and reconditioned vehicles from different businesses under one roof, the marketplace allows visitors to compare a wide range of options in one place—offering an experience comparable to visiting around 50 showrooms.
The air-conditioned environment at Expo Village also allows buyers and sellers to continue their activities regardless of rain or sunshine. Organisers say the initiative aims to provide a comfortable trading environment and facilitate transactions without broker involvement.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager at ICCB, told Bangladesh Pratidin that the sixth edition had been running for around a month and a half.
“Although heavy rain continued throughout the day, the excellent environment at ICCB’s Expo Village, with everything under one roof, meant the adverse weather had no negative impact on the car market. Despite the unfavourable conditions, a large number of buyers, visitors and sellers participated enthusiastically,” he said.
Molla added that the operating hours had been extended by one hour because of the growing number of buyers and visitors in the evening.
The Super Sale Car Market now officially runs every Friday from 11am to 8pm.
