BIMEX 2026 featured domestic and international companies presenting the latest equipment and innovations across shipbuilding, port management, marine engineering, ship recycling, and offshore technologies. Representatives from participating entities briefed visitors on their modern products, services, and technical solutions.
The three-day exhibition, held at ICCB's Navratri Hall and organized by Savor International Limited, was officially inaugurated on Thursday by Shipping Minister Sheikh Robiul Alam.
Highlighting the vast potential of Bangladesh's blue economy, organizers stressed the need for modern technology adoption, increased investment, and stronger international cooperation. Over 200 institutions from seven countries, including Bangladesh and the Netherlands, participated in the expo, which remains open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM through Saturday.
Meanwhile, ICCB also hosted another edition of the "Super Sale Car Bazar" on Friday. Running from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, the one-stop marketplace offered buyers and sellers an opportunity to trade brand-new, reconditioned, and used cars, motorbikes, and various utility vehicles.
First launched on September 4, the weekly auto bazaar has been taking place every Friday for the past five weeks. Organizers reported growing participation from both buyers and sellers as interest in the event continues to escalate.
The centralized platform allows buyers to inspect multiple vehicle brands and models in one location, comparing specifications and prices without the hassle of visiting multiple showrooms. Sellers, on the other hand, benefit from direct engagement with genuine potential buyers.
The "Super Sale Car Bazar" is organized by Wizard Showbiz, with ICCB serving as the official venue partner.
